Antalyaspor vs Galatasaray
Turkey – Super Lig
Date: Saturday, 6 October 2018
Kick-Off at 17:00 UK
Venue: Antalya Stadyumu (Antalya).
Galatasaray have lost on their consistency lately but still sit at the top of the Super Lig table after suffering three losses in their last six outings across competitions, travelling to Antalya for their Matchday 8 clash on Saturday looking for a return to the winning ways after a 1-0 Champions League loss at Porto.
Cimbom have also suffered a convincing 3-0 loss at Akhisarspor on their last Super Lig trip and this will be more worrying for Fatih Terim, despite returning to the winning ways in the process with a narrow 1-0 home win over rock-bottomed Erzurumspor. They’ve struggled to score goals on the road and Galatasaray now desperately need a cure for such woes at Antalya Stadyumu.
Antalyaspor have, on the other hand, just found their consistency and we’ve seen three narrow wins in their last three outings – where they beat Sivasspor and Ankaragucu in Super Lig and Karadeniz Eregli in extra time of their Cup clash. They now hope to take only the positives from such clashes and we should be in for a tough challenge here as well!
Antalyaspor vs Galatasaray: Head-to-head
- Antalyaspor have last beaten Galatasaray (4-2) back in April 2016.
- Cimbom have earned three wins and a draw at this ground in four head to head clashes since then.
- We’ve seen three or more goals in six of the sides’ last seven games, but we’ve been more used to narrow matchups at this ground.
Antalyaspor vs Galatasaray: Prediction
We will now back Galatasaray to finally overcome their woes on the road and earn a win at Antalya Stadyumu, which comes at 1.75. We do believe they’ll have to narrowly turn it their way but visitors do have more firepower and should be able to use it to their advantage.
Antalyaspor have been able to score goals on the day but we expect Cimbom motivated to base their success on a solid defensive display before anything else on the day, where we also stick our necks out for Under 2.5 goals FT at 2.25 – hoping to see even a single goal enough to untangle the match.
